Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

Agriculture and Animal husbandry is major area of focus for the GHCL Foundation. Majority of the work happens with the farmers and with the inhabitants in rural locations. The livelihood of the households in these locations are linked to farming and to Milch Animal rearing. The GHCL Foundation understands that the work with the households helps strengthen their livelihoods and contributes towards the Goal of No Poverty.

Agriculture and Animal Husbandry are important means to help households secure themselves against hunger. The Foundation aims at securing households with crops that provide food security. Efforts are made to help farming households increase agricultural yield through better adaptation of practices and of technologies.

Our CSR team has taken up various interventions directed towards improving farmer’s income and resource efficiency. The essence is to reduce farmer’s input costs, magnify productivity, adopt environment-friendly solutions and generate supplementary income to improve their livelihood.
