GHCL’s manufacturing journey began with the inauguration of its Sutrapada plant in Gujarat

- Commenced soda ash production with 0.42 MMTPA, later expanded to 0.52 MMTPA
- Commencement of GHCL Harnasa, Nakhada, Kadaya and Bhanduri Limestone mines

- Expanded soda ash capacity to 0.85 MMTPA
- Diversified into Spinning business with 65 K spindles subsequently increased to 175 K
- Commissioned the Refined Sodium Bicarbonate Plant
- Commencement of GHCL Khadsaliya Lignite Mines in 2004 to support captive power plant
- Commencement of GHCL Bhimdeol Limestone Mines in 2008

- Increased soda ash capacity to 0.97 MMTPA, further expanded to 1.1 MMTPA
- Became India’s largest soda ash manufacturer at a single location
- Enhanced GHCL yarn capabilities with TFO and Air Jet Spinning technologies

- GHCL Yarn division commissioned 20 MW solar power to strengthen renewable energy usage
- Increased soda ash capacity to 1.2 MMTPA
- Sodium bicarbonate capacity expanded to 0.12 MMTPA
- Demerged the GHCL Yarn business into GHCL Textiles Limited

- Achieved a 26% share of India’s soda ash market
- Commissioned the Vacuum Salt Plant at Sutrapada, Gujarat with an annual capacity of 0.22 MMTPA
- The Bromine Plant at Rajula, Gujarat is scheduled for commissioning in Q3 of FY 2026–27
