Baya belongs to an underprivileged family; her father is an agriculture daily wage labourer, and her mother takes care of the household.

After Baya completed her 12th grade, she decided to look for a job to help her father financially. One of her friends told her about GHCL VTI and she started her course in BPO. After completing the course, she got a job at Lakhu Teleservices Pvt Ltd in Ahmedabad, where she earned a salary of Rs.11,000 with accommodation. After working there for six months, she applied for a job at Club Mahindra and was selected with a salary of Rs.19,500.

In her words, “Thanks to GHCL and its VTI for giving me such a platform in my village. I am very happy that I am earning well and helping my parents financially.”
